  The government has made a decision that allows families to use the funds of monetary compensation “baby package” for any necessary goods during martial law.
During martial law, families were allowed to receive monetary compensation for the “baby package” in a simplified manner, which takes into account possible unforeseen circumstances of childbirth and temporary relocation of families.
In particular, the decision to award monetary compensation for one-time financial assistance “baby package” is made by the structural unit for social protection of the district, the district in Kyiv city state administrations/district military administrations, and the executive body of the city council.
To receive it, one of the parents must apply with a copy of the birth certificate and a certificate from the maternity hospital on non-receipt of assistance “baby package”.
If you do not have a birth certificate, it is sufficient to attach a copy of the document confirming the fact of the child’s birth in the health care facility or outside it.
In the absence of parents, the application may be submitted by foster parents, foster parents, foster parents, or guardians of the newborn child. In this case, they add to the application:
• a copy of the decision of the district, district in the city of Kyiv state administration, the executive body of the city council, or the court on the establishment of guardianship (in the case of guardianship of the child);
• a copy of the decision of the district, district in the city of Kyiv state administration, the executive body of the city council on the placement of a child in a foster family or a family-type orphanage or foster family (for foster family, foster family or child family-type houses);
The application must be submitted in person at the place of residence/stay/application of the recipient. The application and documents may be submitted to the executive body of the village, settlement council, and administrative service center.
