On January 8, 2022, the Law came into force, according to which employers will pay a fine of UAH 65,000 (ten times the minimum wage at the time of the fine) for specifying the gender in the vacancy.
By Part 3 of Art. 24-1 of the Law “On Advertising” of 03.07.1996 № 270/96-VR and item 1 of the Final Provisions of the Law of 10.09.2021 № 1750-IX
And not just for gender
Grounds: Art. 24-1 of the Law “On Advertising” of 03.07.1996 № 270/96-VR establishes that it is prohibited in advertising vacancies (employment):
indicate the age of the candidates,
offer work only to women or only to men, except for specific work that can be performed exclusively by persons of a certain sex,
make requirements that give preference to:
female or male,
members of a certain race,
skin color (except in cases specified by law, and cases of specific work that can be performed only by persons of certain sex),
regarding political, religious, and other beliefs,
membership in trade unions or other associations of citizens,
ethnic and social origin,
property status,
place of residence,
on linguistic or other grounds.
Therefore, these innovations can be considered a step forward.
