    Provisions of the current environmental legislation provide for administrative liability for illegal purchase and trade in Christmas trees.

    Illegal felling and damage of coniferous trees entails the imposition of a fine on citizens from 30 to 60 non-taxable minimum incomes and for officials – 150 – 300 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens. In the case of the above offense by a person aged sixteen to eighteen years in the absence of self-employment, the fine is levied on parents or persons replacing them.

    Not infrequent cases when the sale of Christmas trees is carried out in violation of the rules of trade and the order of economic activity.

    That is, for violation of the rules of trade in the markets there is a penalty in the form of warning or imposing a fine on citizens 1 – 3 non-taxable minimum incomes and warning or imposing a fine on officials – 3 – 7 non-taxable minimum incomes.

    For conducting economic activity without state registration as a business entity or without submitting a notice of commencement of economic activity, if the obligation to submit such notification is provided by law, or without obtaining a license to conduct economic activity subject to licensing in accordance with law, or during the period of suspension of the license, if the law does not provide for the conditions of the license activity during the period of suspension of the license, аnd carrying out economic activity without state registration as a business entity or without submitting a notice of commencement of economic activity, if the obligation to submit such notice is provided by law, or without obtaining a license to conduct economic activity subject to licensing in accordance with law, or during the period of suspension of the license, if the law does not provide for the conditions of the license activity during the period of suspension of the license, or without obtaining a permit, if its receipt is provided by law (except in cases of application of the principle of tacit consent), provides for the imposition of a fine of one thousand to two thousand non-taxable minimum incomes with confiscation of manufactured products , raw materials and money received as a result of committing this administrative offense, or without such.

    Entrepreneurs who transport and sell Christmas trees must have them with them:

  • forestry consignment note;
  • consignment note;
  • certificate of radiation inspection of trees;
  • permission to trade in wet printing;
  • each tree must have an electronic chip with the barcode of the forestry where it was grown.

      Therefore, you can ask the seller to provide the above documents in order to make sure that you buy a Christmas tree without violating the law.
